Ask a questionShould I ship FCL or LCL?
Compare both at around 12–15 CBM. Below that, LCL usually costs less because you pay only for the space you use. Above it, a dedicated 20ft container is cheaper per unit and involves less handling. The cost calculator shows the fill rate and flags the crossover.
How long does sea freight take from India to the UAE?
Direct sailings from Nhava Sheva to Jebel Ali or Khalifa Port take about four to six days port to port. Add time for pickup, stuffing, customs on both sides and final delivery; LCL adds a few days for consolidation.
What documents do I need?
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and a verified gross mass (VGM) declaration for every container, submitted before the cut-off. Depending on the commodity, a certificate of origin or product certification may also be required. We send you a checklist with the booking.
Why does the ocean rate change from week to week?
Carriers apply surcharges that move with fuel, space and route conditions, and these can be a large share of the total. We quote an all-in rate valid for a stated period and confirm it before booking.
Is the cargo insured?
Only if insurance is arranged. We offer Clause (A) cover against all risks, as a single-trip policy or an open policy for regular shippers. Ask for it at quotation stage so it is in place before the container is sealed.
